What we need - Book Drive
We are collecting new and gently used:
Story Books
Picture Books
School Books
Curriculum
Dictionaries
Encyclopedias
Please bring your books and those of friends and family to the High Point Public Library at 901 N. Main Street, High Point, NC 27262
If you not local please send an email to books@7degreesofchange.org for more information on how books can be collected.
Please place the books in a copy-paper or liquor size box or smaller, properly packed to accommodate international shipping and handling.
How we fund our projects
Automobile Raffle
- A maximum of 3,000 tickets will be sold.
- Tickets are USD$100 each
- A drawing will be held in December:
2001-3000 tickets = a prize of $30,000 towards a new Chrysler vehicle (or cash) will be awarded
1001-2000 tickets = a prize of $20,000 will be awarded
501-1000 tickets = a prize of $10,000 will be awarded
If less than 500 tickets are sold then the drawing date will be extended
We are privileged to honor a man for whom the 7 Degrees and the community owes a great deal to:
John Yowell who was taken from us unexpectedly and way too soon. He did so much for so many and never asked for a word of recognition, thanks or praise.
The proceeds of the raffle will go to:
- Naming the Children’s reading area at the High Point Public Library after John
- Establishing the John Yowell Logistics scholarship at the new GTCC Supply Chain Program
- Funding the Library Renewal Program of the Philippines
- Funding School Libraries and Literacy Programs
